From Training to Turnover, the Women’s Livelihood Program is Sparking Change

This festive season, the sparkle was not just from lamps and lights — it was from the confidence and creativity of women who turned their skills into opportunity.
 The women trained under CBN Foundation’s Sewing and Livelihood Project proudly showcased their handcrafted products at a special festive stall, sharing not only their creations but also their inspiring journey of growth and self-reliance.

The stall featured beautifully crafted cotton bags, candles, baskets, and festive décor, all made with care and dedication by the women entrepreneurs. Each product carried a story — of effort, empowerment, and the joy of being able to contribute to one’s own family income.
 Products came from women’s groups working in Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan.

First Experience, Lasting Impact

One of the participants, Kusumlata, who stitched the bags displayed at the stall, expressed her joy saying,

“CBN Foundation has brought the sparkle of festivities into my life too, by helping me sell the bags I made. This experience was thrilling — it was my first time interacting with customers directly, and I truly enjoyed it.”

For many women, this was their first experience selling their products to the public, and it boosted their confidence tremendously. They learned how to present their products, communicate with buyers, and understand the value of their craftsmanship.

The stall attracted enthusiastic visitors, and the products were appreciated for their quality and creativity. The encouraging response from buyers showed how these women’s efforts are being recognized and supported by the community.
