Having been a blind student myself, understanding Mathematics and Geometry was difficult due to a lack of resources,. limiting learning to written notes without conceptual clarity. The Braille books provided will help current students overcome these challenges. Additionally, a two-day teacher training on these books has improved teaching methods and curriculum understanding.

I am exploring the world of geometry with the help of these Braille books and math kits, which are specifically designed for visually impaired children. This has also opened a new element of learning, as it aligns with the school curriculum and makes the subject more accessible and easy to understand.

With the Braille and tactile books that we received at The Prodigal’s Home, I can now feel the content, which gives me the sense of seeing again. Since we don’t have access to Braille textbooks at my school, I am truly grateful to CBN Foundation for providing these resources and broadening our academic opportunities.

Braille books were received by us in the past as well but the Braille books received through CBN Foundation were completely different – more standardised and creative especially in terms of their illustrations.

The tactile Braille books provided, such as the computer books will encourage the students to understand the subject and improve their performance in this field. The well-illustrated and standardised embossment in the distributed Braille textbooks has been met with excitement and encouragement

Aditya, a seventh-grade student with hearing impairment, began using his hearing aid in May 2024, and we’ve noticed significant improvements in the classroom since then. Since he started using the device, he has become much more engaged in class discussions and is eager to answer questions. When I teach a lesson and ask the students if they understood, I invite them to come to the board to explain their understanding. Aditya now confidently comes to the front and is able to articulate what he has learned.

Every student demonstrates unique requirements regarding hearing frequencies. Through the distribution of advanced hearing equipment, students will have the capacity to adjust frequencies to match their individual needs. This adjustment ensures ideal auditory experience in the classroom, facilitating proper hearing for all students.
