Meena Devi, a member of the SHG in Khatima, Uttarakhand, has an incredible journey of resilience. In 2023, with micro-enterprise support, she started her own grocery shop to provide for her family. Despite enduring the devastating loss of her daughter to cancer, Meena worked tirelessly to expand her business, repay her initial loan, and even secure a bank loan for further growth.

However, her progress was tragically disrupted in July when severe flooding destroyed her shop and its stock. This unexpected disaster left Meena struggling to repay her loan and rebuild her business.

Thanks to the generous support of CBN Foundation donors, Meena has now been able to reconstruct her shop and restock it with essential items. This assistance has not only helped her rebuild her livelihood but also given her the means to begin repaying her loans, moving closer to financial stability.

With her shop back in operation, Meena is once again generating a steady income for her family and reclaiming her place as a small-scale entrepreneur in her community. Her determination and your support have turned her challenges into a story of hope and renewal.

Thank you for standing by Meena and making a difference in her life!
