Kamlesh, a member of the Ekta Self-Help Group in Khatima, has been making sun-dried daal baris, a popular delicacy in Uttarakhand, for the past five years. Her homemade nutritious nuggets have become a sought-after item in local markets and exhibitions. Crafted entirely by hand, she has been able to make a profit of up to Rs. 200 per kilogram on a good day.
To grow her cottage industry further, Kamlesh needed a packing machine to streamline her production process and meet the increasing demand for her products.
Thanks to the generous support of CBN Foundation donors, Kamlesh now has the much-needed packing machine. This has enabled her to increase her production, ensuring her delicious daal baris reach more customers while maintaining their quality. With this boost, Kamlesh is building a sustainable business that supports her family and contributes to her local community.
Thank you for supporting Kamlesh and making helping her to take her small cottage industry to the next level.
